Vehicle Sales Apprentice
We are looking to recruit an vehicle sales apprentice.The
successful candidate will work in the sales team at the Fiat and
Citroen showroom on Bradford Road.
The candidate requires an to possess an interest in cars and a
passion for customer care. The successful candidate will learn how
to handle customers in a professional, friendly and courteous
manner.
Other skills that may be required are:
- Communicating information electronically
- Valuing vehicles for part exchange
- Improving customer relations
- Assisting customers to secure finance for purchase
- Forecasting, monitoring and evaluating personal sales
performance
- Managing yourself
- Designing, implementing and evaluating sales plans
On satisfactory completion of the first year's training the
apprentice will be eligible for a company vehicle. In-house
training will be further complemented by manufacturer training
courses including Level 2 & Level 3 NVQ's on Vehicle Sales.
Level 2 NVQ in Vehicle Sales

This qualification covers activities within the motor industry that
relate to vehicle sales personnel working in all types of
dealerships, specialist sales centres and garages
The qualification covers the basic techniques for today's motor
industry:
- All aspects of health & safety
- Maintaining positive working relationships
- Giving customers a positive impression of yourself and your
organisation
- Selling vehicles and services to customers in face to face
settings
- Understanding of how the above selling skills operate
Other skills that may be required are:
- Using information technology to enter and find data
- Conducting vehicle demonstration test drives
- Following up and actioning sales leads
- Appraising vehicles for part exchange
- Monitoring the delivery of vehicles to customers
Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Sales
Qual Ref: 100/2793/2
This qualification covers activities within the motor industry
that relate to vehicle sales personnel working in all types of
dealerships specialist sales centres and garages.
The qualification covers all the techniques for today's motor
industry:
- All aspects of health & safety, maintaining positive
relationships and good housekeeping
- Selling vehicles and services to customers in face to face
settings
- Generating and following up sales leads
- Negotiating vehicle sales
- Negotiating fleet and business vehicle sales
- Monitoring the delivery of vehicles to customers
- Contributing to maintaining effective customer service
- Understanding of how the above selling skills operate
A clean driving licence is required.
