Citroen DS5 Hits the Headlines after Unveiling at Motorshow
Published Date: 20 May 2012
DS5 is the first Citroën model to feature HYbrid4 diesel hybrid
technology, providing enhanced performance and class leading
environmental credentials. The advanced HYbrid4 system
delivers 200bhp; four-wheel drive capability; emission-free
electric power for the city; and an acceleration boost function for
the open road - with total CO2 emissions of just 99g/km.
The DS line has already redefined expectations in the supermini
segment with DS3, and combines the style of a coupé and the
flexibility of a five-door hatchback with DS4. Progressing to
the executive segment, DS5 targets customers looking for a truly
bold and assertive car with a resolutely modern approach to vehicle
design.

Following Citroen's unveiling of the DS5 at the Shanghai
Motorshow heres what the UK motoring writers thought of it.....
"Citroen has raised its game again with the unveiling of its
dramatic new flagship DS5 at the shanghai Motorshow. It aims to
blur the lines between an estate and a hatchback. The French
company's five-seater four-door is the big brother to Citroen's
existing DS3 hatchback which has already won plaudits and awards,
including Top Gear's Car of the Year." Daily
Mail
"The DS5 loooks like the thing of childhood dreams, and Ctroen
claims it currently has no rivals. Those who have driven the car -
including aworld rally champion Sebastien Loeb, who attended the
bash - also say it provides rewarding dynamics and is as 'smooth as
a pebble'!" Auto Express
"The French firm is fighting back with this stunning new DS5. It
will sit alongside the C5 saloon in the mainstream offering more
choice. While the chrome bonnet strips might not suit everyone, the
DS5 is sure to turn heads and steal customers from the likes of
Audi and BMW. If that sounds far-fetched, check the spacious and
sumptuous wood and leather cabin reminiscent of the old Mercedes
CLS. Cars three times the price of this would love such an
interior. Stylish French Cars are back!" Daily
